Guys and Gals here’s a recipe that will make you say that’s nacho hot dog it’s mine. You don’t need a lot of ingredients, all you need is a jar or two of Cheerleaders hot dogs, buns, pickled jalapeno peppers, tortilla chips, and a delicious homemade nacho cheese sauce made exclusively by a rather fine individual such as yourself.
First make your nacho cheese sauce by melting two tablespoons of butter in a pan. Add in a couple of tablespoons of flour and let it cook for several minutes. The mixture will start to foam up.
Next, slowly whisk in a cup of milk. Keep stirring and simmering, until the sauce thickens enough to coat a spoon. It should take about 2-3 minutes.Reduce the heat and stir in 250g of shredded cheddar cheese a bit at a time. Keep stirring until all of the cheese is melted. It should be very creamy.
Stir in 59 ml of jalapeno pickling liquid from a jar of pickled jalapeno peppers. If you’re a big jalapeno pepper fan, why not sprinkle in a couple of them?
Empty your Cheerleaders hot dogs, including brine into a saucepan and heat gently for about 5 minutes, alternatively, you can empty the dogs including brine into a microwavable bowl. Cover the bowl loosely and cook on high at 360w for 60 – 90 seconds.
When everything’s ready, load up your dogs into the buns, drizzle over the melty nacho cheese, sprinkle a light dusting of crushed tortilla chips, and a portion of pickled jalapeno peppers.
Now there's just one thing left to do, tuck in!
